Responsible for the installation and customer care of high speed Internet for local wireless Internet service provider.
Major Job Duties • Install drops, outlets in subscriber homes • Complete necessary paperwork / work-orders • Verify all services working correctly • Possibly work in confined spaces or aloft (up to 28ft) • Install mounting arm and antenna to roofline, aligned with signal • Run cabling from external to internal equipment • Insure integrity of household weather barrier is intact • Calculate signal strength and bandwidth speed test • Work indoors / outdoors in all kinds of weather • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements This position requires that the candidate pass an extensive background investigation, drug screening, and possess a valid California driver's license. Must own truck/vehicle, installation tools, capable of carrying a 28' ladder. Company will provide consumables. A high school diploma or GED is required.
Must be able to • Read and interpret documents such as work orders and procedure manuals • Complete basic mathematical calculations • Communicate effectively with customers and employees • Great customer service skills • Understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form • Repeatedly lift and carry equipment and tools (up to 80lbs) • Operate tools effectively, including but not limited to, drills, hammers, pliers, crimpers, wire strippers, screwdrivers, and wrenches • Work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends • Perceive differences in wire and cable colors
Ideally, the candidate should have some type of experience in the following areas: • Construction • Network • Cable (CAT5E, CAT6) • Programming Compensation • Paid weekly • 1099 contract • Pay based per installation • Flexible Hours

The Tribal Digital Village shadow project was created in 2002 with a goal to mentor and train local youth in the Tribal Digital Village infrastructure and technology. The objective of this project is to educate and empower local community members by providing them with the proper tools and training for a brighter future. The TDV Wireless Communications training series focuses on training students to build and set up network antennas, configure a central out door router, send and receive radio signal and so much more.
Tribal Digital Village is proud to offer a new training series, Audio and Video Studio Training out of Rez Valley Studio in Pala. Students will learn how to produce and edit video and audio using current technology and techniques. The program will encompass numerous aspects of media and produce content media for both Internet and other methods of viewing.
All local individuals who fit the criteria requirements are invited to apply. Once all applications and Letter of Intents have been submitted please allow two weeks for Tribal Digital Village to review. TDV will notify the students who have been selected via phone or mail.
Classes are scheduled for two days a week, Tuesday & Thursday for four weeks. Classes will run year round, and will expand to accommodate students as needed.
